HARRY BAHAROZIAN Obituary

Harry James Baharozian, age 95, peacefully passed away in his apartment in Plymouth, Michigan, on March 30, 2024. Born January 19, 1929, in Detroit, he was the son of Nishan and Helen (Malian) Baharozian. Harry received his education and graduated from Cass Technical High School.

He entered the military service and served his nation in the U.S. Army Air Force.

Returning to civilian life, Harry advanced his specialized training by attending trade school to become a superb draftsman. Successfully utilizing his craft, he worked as a Senior Draftsman for the City of Detroit Planning and Development Department for over 30 years until his retirement. He was very artistic and drew plans by hand, before computers, and enjoyed drawing caricatures.

As an athlete, he played third base in semi-pro baseball and softball for many years. He was also a talented builder, who built a family room, shed, patio, and outdoor barbeque, among his workings. Notably,  he had a great sense of humor, dry wit, and was well-read, and was always eager to learn.

Harry married Alice D. Daghestanian and became a dutiful husband and father. As the years passed, they were blessed with children, grandchildren, great-grandson, relatives and friends. Most of all, he was a devoted husband and an excellent role model for his children and grandchildren. Harry Baharozian was an overall good and respected man who will be missed.
