SARA FUSTUKIAN

Sara Fustukian, age 102, passed away in Taylor, Michigan on November 23, 2023. Born in Detroit, Michigan, on October 24, 1921, her parents were Boghos and Varoog (nee Yahnian) Topalian. Growing up in the colorful Armenian community of Delray, Sara completed her education and graduated from high school.

Sara was a very resourceful person renowned for her ability to dynamically achieve results in her endeavors.  She met and married David Fustukian; they lived together for many years in Dearborn, Michigan until his passing.

Sara’s career as a secretary afforded her the opportunity to work for Honeywell Office Supply and most successfully for Ford Motor Company. Even after her retirement, the Ford executives would continue to call upon her for her experience and knowledgeable assistance.

Through the years, Sara was known for her splendid cooking ability, the many bowling trophies she earned, and her activity in the Dearborn Garden Club. Her culture and refinement kept her in constant touch with her enjoyment of music and the arts, taking numerous trips to Detroit Symphony Concerts and attending presentations in Stratford, Ontario.

Being a people person, Sara arranged many group outings to various destinations, including the Casinos. Remarkably, she also maintained long-range relationships with her doctors. Sara Fustukian will long be remembered for her friendly spirit by her many relatives and friends.

Sara was most fortunate to have family members who kindly assisted her in her later years, namely her cousin Katherine Lewandoski, Licia Yangouyian and other Yangouyian, Poladian, and Stephanian families.
