LUCILLE BELBEISI Obituary

Lucille Belbeisi passed away peacefully in her home on January 2, 2017, with her family around her. Born in Detroit, Michigan on February 2, 2017, she was the daughter of Yervant and Shahanig (Seraydarian) Hachrian. As she was growing up, Lucille loved to watch her mother cook and bake delicious foods, which had a lasting effect on her life. Eager to learn, she graduated from St. Theresa High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Wayne State University She met Haidar Belbeisi and they married. Lucille became a devoted wife and loving mother to her children and granddaughter. The family enjoyed many areas of travel together, visiting Niagara Falls and fishing for tasty sheepshead in Point Pelee, Ontario, as well as numerous picnics in various parks. One family tradition was to go to Eastern Market on Saturdays and then deliver the fresh fruits and vegetables to grandma Shahanig in Oak Park. They opened three family business jewelry stores named "Solid Gold Jewelers" in Greater Detroit and suburbs. Lucille was a very giving and thoughtful person, who always did for others in her selfless way. On Holidays, she would take her granddaughter with her to the poor areas of downtown Detroit, where they would pass out money from her stack of $5 bills to give to the homeless. She also had a passion for cooking and baking and enjoyed sharing it with others, whom she loved. Lucille leaves a beautiful remembrance of life as a golden legacy for her family. ........FAMILY MEMBERS: Beloved mother of Deema Belbeisi-Gamal, (Jim Gamal), Alia Belbeisi and the late Nadeem Belbeisi.
